Entry Requirements

  • Degree: Minimum 2.2 Honours in an Built Environment Discipline

Note: We would normally expect you to have Grade C in GCSE English and Maths.

  • Overall IELTS 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in Writing, Speaking, Reading and Listening (or recognised equivalent).

Curriculum

You will study two taught theory modules, each worth 30 credits, and a practical module worth 60 before proceeding to your concluding thesis.

There are six specialist practical options from which to choose: Computational Architecture; Urban Design; Sustainable Architecture; Architecture for International Development; Architecture and Practice; and Architecture and Heritage.

The supporting theory options are: Urban Design, Sustainable Architecture, Computational Architecture, Architecture and Heritage, Landscape Theory, Critical Writing and Critical Studies.

If you want to specialise in an area suited to your professional requirements, you can select a “full house” of options dedicated to that theme.

This approach is possible with Urban Design, Sustainable Architecture and Computational Architecture. And if you want to focus on Architecture and Heritage, you can do all but one theory module on that subject.

Such is the flexibility of the course that you can also pick your own mix of study areas.
