Curriculum
The varied modules you’ll take over three years (or four years if you choose to study part time or take the placement option) are designed to let you experiment creatively. You’ll explore new interpretations of textile materials and apply these for use in fashion collections.
Based on a foundation of theory, history and creative practice, you’ll choose from a wide prospectus. That includes 2D and 3D fashion textile design, which is centred on work-based learning.
Alongside creative studio practice, you'll choose from modules focused on creative professional theory and employability.
We’ll teach you basic creative pattern cutting and enhance your expertise in understanding fabric types. We’ll underpin your work with a thorough grounding in both traditional craft and the most modern digital processes.
In your final year, with everything you’ve learned equipping you to pursue your own individual creative direction, you’ll produce a final major project. This will culminate in your work being showcased both at UEL and at the famed Graduate Fashion Week.
