Entry Requirements
A Levels
- Grades AAA
- Subjects Chemistry required plus one from Biology, Mathematics or Physics.
- AS Levels A pass in a further subject at AS level or equivalent is required.
- GCSEs English Language and Mathematics at grade B. For UK-based students, a grade C or equivalent in a foreign language (other than Ancient Greek, Biblical Hebrew or Latin) is required. UCL provides opportunities to meet this requirement following enrolment at UCL.
IB Diploma
- Points 38
- Subjects A total of 18 points in three higher level subjects including Chemistry at grade 6, and one subject from Biology, Mathematics or Physics, with no score below 5.

English Requirement
- Completed a minimum of twelve months education in a country that UCL considers to be ‘majority English speaking’, no more than the summer two years prior to the proposed date of enrollment
- Completed a minimum of eighteen months of work experience in a country that UCL considers to be ‘majority English speaking’, no more than two years prior to the proposed date of enrollment
- Completed a school leaving qualification containing English, which UCL considers to meet the CEFR B2 level in all four skills, no more than the summer two years prior to the proposed date of enrollment
- Obtained one of the English language tests accepted by UCL, no more than two years prior to the proposed date of enrollment. A number of qualifications and tests are recognized, UCL's preferred English language qualification being the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). The qualification or test result must have been awarded at the appropriate level (standard, good or advanced).
