About
Our Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) program aims to develop psychologists with a professional focus and a strong psychological orientation, equipped to address the intellectual, emotional, social, and psychological needs of individuals.
Upon completion of the program, graduates are equipped to effectively manage workplace and community resources to meet client needs. It also facilitates the acquisition of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and professional conduct expected of psychologists.
At UNITAR, students undergo training in four key areas: theoretical understanding, research methodologies, industry-based project work, and internship experience.

Entry Requirements
Programme Entry Requirements
- A pass in STPM or its equivalent, with a minimum of Grade C (GPA 2.00) in any two (2) subjects with credit in Mathematics and Science at SPM level; OR
- Matriculation/Foundation or its equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 with credit in Mathematics and Science at SPM level; OR
- A pass in STAM with a minimum grade of Jayyid and at least credits in Mathematics and Biology/ Physics/ Chemistry/ General Science/ Applied Science and a pass in English at SPM level*; OR
- A Diploma or its equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 with credit in Mathematics and Science at SPM level; OR
- A Diploma in Psychology with minimum CGPA 2.00; OR
- Pass Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM)/ Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)/ Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 in relevant field subject to the approval of the Senate a credit in English at SPM or its equivalent and MUST attend bridging courses; OR
- Pass DKM/ DLKM/ DVM with at least CGPA 2.00 AND have at least two (2) years of work experience in the relevant field and MUST attend bridging courses; OR
- An Advanced Diploma (Level 5, MQF) in the relevant fields with at least CGPA of 2.00 out of 4:00 and at least credits in Mathematics and Biology/ Physics/ Chemistry/ General Science/ Applied Science and a pass in English at SPM level; OR
- Other relevant or equivalent qualification, experience and requirement accepted by UNITAR Senate / competent authority in Malaysia

International students
- minimum score of 5.0 for IELTS; OR
- minimum score of 42 for TOEFL; OR its equivalent.
Local students
* A pass in SPM English Exempted from University English Courses:
- Distinction in SPM / SPMV English
- MUET Band 4, 5 and 6
- A Pass in English Course at a previous institution
Required to take English Preparatory 2:
- Credit in SPM / SPMV English
- MUET Band 1, 2 and 3
Required to take both English Preparatory 1 and 2:
- No credit in SPM / SPMV English
