Curriculum
Level 1
- Level 1 intends to help students build their vocabulary, as well as the pronunciation and spelling of those words. Students will establish basic reading comprehension skills and will develop grammar skills to produce paragraphs and short essays.
Level 2
- Level 2 develops English comprehension through examining full texts at a paragraph level and learning to communicate personal opinions in basic social situations. Students will develop basic academic writing skills and learn vocabulary specific to business topics, such as marketing, products and retailing.
Level 3
- Level 3 focuses on building analytical skills. Students will incorporate research into academic writing, formulate opinions on passages, and communicate ideas effectively in formal and informal settings. Students will expand their business communication skills covering areas such as branding, advertising and culture.
Level 4
- Level 4 intends to improve student proficiency by providing opportunities to practice reading comprehension and critical literacy skills. Students will complete an academic paper, and will be given practical skills to enhance presentations. Business communication skills will be improved by covering areas such as franchising, marketing research, trade and customer service.
