Entry Requirements
The entry requirements for the MA International Business Management are:
A first or second class undergraduate honours degree in a business or business related subject from a UK university or overseas equivalent, or a professional qualification and/or experience considered to be equivalent to the above;
A reference from a tutor who has supervised the applicants undergraduate studies;
If English is not the applicants first language, they will need to have a TOEFL score of 550 or above, an IELTS score of 6.0 or above or evidence of English proficiency equivalent to the above;
Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL): students may apply for up to 90 credits of APL (APCL and/or APEL), subject to the guidelines set out in the UWBS APL Guidelines (2006).
Applications are also welcome from individuals who do not possess the above qualifications but who have significant management experience and are able to demonstrate previous non-certificated learning equivalent to the above. In such cases, admission to the programme will be based on an evaluation of the applicants ability to continue to benefit from and achieve the award.
Curriculum

International Finance
Understand the international financial system and apply various international financial strategies available to international corporate managers.
International Business Environment
Understand the controversies over basic trends in the global economy and analyse key issues like foreign investment and location which underpin global business decision making.
Global Marketing Strategy and Practice
Consider the key stages an organisation has to go through to develop and implement its approach to global marketing and how these factors can be influenced and supported by all aspects of the customer supply chain i.e. logistics, quality and the global marketing mix. Consider contemporary approaches to international marketing and how these can be put in to practice.
Contemporary Issues in International Human Resource Management
Consider the management of people in an international context and the effects of globalisation on workers, organisations and employment issues.
Corporate Governance in an International Context
Explore a range of perspectives that help understand the interplay between corporate governance, strategy and corporate performance in a range of comparative national and organisational contexts.
You will undertake an Independent Business Analysis Project, which runs throughout your course.
MSc International Business Management students will join with peers from other postgraduate courses offered by the University of Wolverhampton Business School on a weekend residential where you will be able to experience these issues in action, combining an authentic business experience with an opportunity to work and socialise with others and an opportunity to see some of Britains unique heritage.
