Curriculum
Through project work, following a pattern of investigation, experiment and innovation, you will develop a broad understanding of contemporary landscape issues as well as the critical and aesthetic skills you need to pursue a career in landscape architecture.
You will also learn traditional and new approaches to representation and advanced computing.
Our MA is unique in its focus on the temporal and urban aspects of landscape, rather than the horticultural. We believe in a collaborative studio culture and small classes.
At other universities you will often find larger class sizes with all students following the same brief. Our approach allows you more individuality. We will encourage you to develop your own ideas and pursue your own research interests.
The course culminates in the development of your own thesis, while working collaboratively with others in a way that echoes life in a professional landscape architecture practice.
You will benefit from studying in our multi-disciplinary School environment, alongside students in related fields of architecture, sustainability and urban design.
