Curriculum

This master’s course will equip you with a firm grounding in current issues and research in international law as well as giving you the flexibility and choice to direct your studies according to your interests.

Once you have a firm grasp of the major concepts and issues, you will select three further modules from a choice of 13. You’ll be able to focus on, for example, subjects such as terrorism and crime across borders, human rights and conflict; the Middle East or business and finance.

Throughout the course you will develop the research skills expected of a postgraduate student and put these to use in your own studies, including your 15,000-word dissertation. For this compulsory element of the course, you will be able to undertake research in a topic of your choosing.

Whatever direction you choose, you will benefit from the support of an academic team with a well established reputation for research and expertise in international law.
