Diploma In Performing Arts
About
The Diploma in Performing Arts at Sunway University offers an interdisciplinary curriculum that spans two major fields: theatre and film. Over the course of two years, students build a solid foundation in both disciplines, gaining hands-on experience both on stage and behind the scenes, as well as in front of and behind the camera. Supported by a diverse and experienced faculty, who bring real-world industry practices to the classroom, students engage in a variety of learning methods, including lectures, practical sessions, tutorials, viewings, discussions, performances, and field trips. The program encourages students to develop their creative voice, think critically about their work, and seize opportunities to produce contemporary content.
Upon completing the program, students have the option to continue their studies at Sunway University or pursue further education with partner universities in Australia and the UK.
This distinctive program provides students with a valuable head start in their careers. Graduates of the Diploma in Performing Arts have gone on to achieve success not only in theatre and film but also in related fields such as television, radio, journalism, digital media, advertising, broadcasting, and social media.
