Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Theatre Production
About
The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Theatre Production is a comprehensive programme that explores the dynamic practice of contemporary theatre-making. Students develop expertise in performance, directing, devising, design, and production management, supported by critical studies in history, context, and theory. The curriculum also examines theatre production in an increasingly digital world while fostering leadership, innovation, self-sustainability, and arts entrepreneurship.
Taught by experienced theatre practitioners and academicians, the programme combines lectures, practical studio sessions, tutorials, research, and fieldwork. Students gain hands-on experience through five productions over three years and a 12-week industrial placement, offering ample networking and collaboration opportunities.
Beyond theatre, graduates acquire versatile skills applicable to careers in film, television, radio, digital and social media, broadcasting, journalism, music, dance, events, marketing, and entertainment industries such as museums, theme parks, and live experiences. Upon completion, graduates receive dual certification from Sunway University and Lancaster University, enhancing their global career prospects.
