Entry Requirements
- GCSE English grade C or above (or equivalent), and a minimum of 100 UCAS points.
- There is a minimum International requirement for IELTS of 5.5. Mature applicants are considered on merit.
Curriculum
The programme runs across three days a week. There are eight mandatory units of study. These are:
- the Travel and Tourism Sector
- Finance and Funding in the Travel and Tourism Industry
- the Developing Manager
- Research Project
- Marketing in Travel and Tourism
- Contemporary Issues in Travel and Tourism
- Sustainable Tourism
- Legislation and Ethics in the Travel and Tourism Sector.
In addition, there are eight sector-specific units studied, which include
- Visitor Attractions Management
- Special Interest Tourism
- Tourist Destinations
- Heritage and Cultural Tourism
- Tour Operations Management and Incoming and Domestic Tourism.
