Entry Requirements
- 5 GCSEs at grade A*-C including English Language and Mathematics, or specified equivalents.
- A-Levels: BBB to include one from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Design Technology or Computing. Excludes General Studies
- BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma: DDM in IT or a technical subject
- Access: The Access Diploma to include 30 Level 3 credits in either Maths, Physics, Computer Science or Statistics, plus GCSE English Language and Mathematics at grade A*-C, or specified equivalents.
- International Baccalaureate Diploma: 29 points to include either Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Design Technology or IT at Higher level
- English as a Foreign Language: IELTS 6.0
Curriculum
The first year of the course lays the foundation for the study of creative technologies. Subjects include: 2D and 3D content creation, user-centred design, computer architecture, programming and mathematical fundamentals. Second and third year allows students to explore, more in-depth, topics such as web development, game concepts, media production, object-orientated programming, human-computer interaction, 3D modelling and animation. You will have the opportunity to work on real world projects, these are designed to prepare you for industry. This is done by placing the students into project teams and using external clients to prepare them for the future.
