About
Hong Kong is an international fashion business centre. Many international enterprises have set up regional offices in Hong Kong and their businesses have spread over the neighbouring countries. Renowned international fashion brands have also been developing their markets in Hong Kong and China in recent years.
The Fashion Branding and Buying consists of a wide range of activities in the spectrum of the whole supply-demand pipeline, including fashion brand promotion, fashion e-business, product development, global buying and sourcing, digital fashion marketing, fashion retail management, visual merchandising and fashion display design, etc.
This programme is designed to enable students to have jobs in different areas of Fashion Branding and Buying, emphasizing students’ international exposure. Students will find the programme both practical and creative, through different learning experiences such as overseas exchanges, local and overseas industrial visits, industrial collaborative projects and industrial attachments with international fashion brands and companies. Professional knowledge and technology in fashion branding and digital marketing, trend analysis, fashion e-business, global fashion buying, fashion product development, materials and technology form the core components of the programme from which students can select one of the specific study scopes in (1) buying and retail management, (2) product development and sourcing, or (3) visual merchandising and branding.
This programme is also designed with an emphasis on generic, language and communication training, whole-person development and workplace experience to better prepare students for further studies and employment after graduation.

Entry Requirements
International Students:
- Applicants with academic qualifications obtained in secondary or tertiary institutions outside Hong Kong will be assessed individually by the departments concerned.
- IGCSE, GCE, International Baccalaureate (IB) or other overseas qualifications which are comparable with the required levels of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education will be accepted.
- IELTS overall score at 5 or equivalent
