Accommodation

The Mount offers three furnished Residence buildings on campus for both men and women: Assisi Hall, The Birches and Westwood. Assisi and the Birches are your traditional single room living spaces on campus, while Westwood offers premium single rooms or apartment style living for those 19 year plus. Apart from the convenience of living close to classes, labs, the cafeteria, library, gym and more, Mount students will tell you living on campus is one of the best ways to become more involved in campus life. Campus

Overlooking the Bedford Basin, our 40 acre wooded campus is steeped in history and tradition. The Mount is known internationally for its unique collection of programs, undergraduate research opportunities and some of the smallest class sizes in Canada.

On your visit to campus, you can: 

  • Participate in a tour guided by one of our Student Ambassadors
  • Meet one-on-one with a professor in your chosen area of study
  • Sit in on a class
  • Indulge in the buffet at our five-star dining hall
  • Meet with a Recruitment Officer
  • Apply for admission
  • From downtown Halifax:

From Barrington Street, proceed north towards the Bedford Highway #2 (heading to Bedford). Continue north on the Bedford Highway. The Mount Campus is located on the west side of the Highway, about an 8 minute drive from downtown Halifax.

  • From Dartmouth:

Cross the Macdonald Bridge or the MacKay Bridge towards Barrington Street in Halifax. Continue north on Barrington Street, towards the Bedford Highway #2. Continue north on the Bedford Highway. The Mount Campus is located on the west side of the Highway, about a 5 to 8 minute drive from the Dartmouth bridges.

  • From the Halifax International Airport:

At the Airport, take Highway #102 south to Halifax. Continue on Highway #102 until Exit 2. Go east on Exit 2 (Kearney Lake Road) towards the Bedford Highway #2. Go south on the Bedford Highway. The Mount Campus is located on the west side of the Highway, about a 20 minute drive from the Airport.
