Entry Requirements
For Domestic and those International students not required to complete the English Language Enhancement course, to be eligible for the award of Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Information Technology (BSc/BInfTech), a student must acquire 320 credit points as prescribed below:
- gain 160 credit points for Bachelor of Science courses comprising:
- 70 credit points at first year level including Science Revealed: Science, Technology and Society to be completed in Years 1, 2 or 3
- 30 credit points for Science Capstone Preparation and Science Capstone to be completed in Year 4
- 60 credit points for a Science major
- gain at least 50 credit points for final year Science courses.
- gain 160 credit points for Bachelor of Information Technology courses comprising:
- 50 credit points at first year level
- 110 credit points for later year courses including at least 60 credit points for courses listed in any Information Technology major
- gain at least 40 credit points for final year Information Technology courses.
For International students required to complete the English Language Enhancement course, to be eligible for the award of Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Information Technology (BSc/BInfTech), a student must acquire 320 credit points as prescribed below:
- gain 160 credit points for Bachelor of Science courses comprising:
- 70 credit points at first year level including Science Revealed: Science, Technology and Society to be completed in Years 1, 2 or 3
- 30 credit points for Science Capstone Preparation and Science Capstone to be completed in Year 4

Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level and Type
- The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) is the national policy for regulated qualifications in Australian education and training. The Bachelor of Information Technology and the Bachelor of Science are accredited as an AQF Level 7 - Bachelor Degree.
English Language Enhancement
- All undergraduate International students admitted from 2010 are required to complete an English Language Enhancement course unless specific criteria are met as specified in Section 1.2 of the Bachelor Degree Policy - Schedule 1: Requirement to Complete the English Language Enhancement Course.
